About us Created in 2004 to market literary products from first-time or lesser known authors, Lakeside Communications added publishing the works of author-clients to its resume in 2005. Lynne McIntosh, chief editor and founder of Lakeside Communications, reported, "The book publishing industry of today is dominated by a handful of giants that serve up the same literature formulas year after year, predominately from a small number of well known writers.. Of all the writings submitted for publication less than two percent ever make it to print. Each year hundreds of worthy offerings from new and lesser known writers languish without a venue for publication. Subsidy publishers fill some of the void, but the truth is that often these writers do not have the resources to pay for self publishing. We choose the opportunity to work the other side of the equation. We are here to help talented new and lesser known authors get published!"
Lakeside Communications is proud to join the growing community of independent publishers that welcome manuscripts from first time or lesser known authors. We are not subsidy publishers. If we accept an author's work, we contract for it and pay standard advances and royalties. We want your book to publish and sell.
